Tim Fisher uses a divider to combine three plies into a single rope. A twisting machine at the end of the walk Fisher is walking toward twists the plies as he walks the walk and combines the plies into rope. The rope walk, at Troyer's Rope in Conneautville, Pa., makes rope the old-fashioned way and is believed to be the longest outdoor rope walk in the United States. It is 785 feet long.
