Feather Multimedia is the freelance photography/writing business of Carl E. Feather. Based in Kingsville, Ohio, I provide freelance photography services to businesses and individuals who are looking for affordable, creative photography of weddings, family groups and special events, including reunions.
My passion is photographing and writing about the people, landscape and culture of Appalachia. I am regular contributor to Goldenseal Magazine, and I have made several multi-projector programs about my travels in this region.
My day job is that of writer/photographer/editor for the features page of the Star Beacon in Ashtabula, Ohio.
I am the author of "Mountain People in a Flat Land," an informal history of the migration of Appalachian workers to northeast Ohio in the mid-20th century. My articles, columns and photography have been published in the Charleston Gazette, Grit, Ohio Magazine, Lakeland Boating, The Rotarian and various newspapers.
My hobby is collecting and projecting 16mm films in our Feather Free-ater home movie theater. Read more about this here.
